Leiyuan joined nfpResearch in February 2025 as a Research Assistant for the Public Audiences Team.

She graduated with honours from the London School of Economics and Political Science with an MSc in Media and Communications (Research). During her time there, she worked as a research assistant on a project investigating AI-generated election disinformation across the UK, Belgium and the US. Her thesis examined how generative AI tools are used to facilitate activism and creative resistance online.

Before joining nfpResearch, Leiyuan worked as a researcher at a London-based not-for-profit on narrative research and message testing. She also contributed as a visual designer to a video game project that explored models of international cooperation in tackling environmental crises.

In her free time, Leiyuan enjoys kickboxing, drawing, singing and exploring nature.
