Berni is the Head of Finance and People, and is responsible for all of the company's internal operations.

Her finance role covers the full financial cycle at nfpResearch, from budgeting and invoicing through to reconciliation and reporting to the Co-Managing Directors, alongside the company payroll and its cross-border obligations. She's also the first point of contact for staff and client queries.

Beyond finance, she leads HR and IT, manages the office, and acts as Executive Assistant to the Co-Managing Directors. She also oversees the company's contracts - including client negotiations, data protection compliance, and supplier and insurance arrangements - and keeps employment policies aligned with UK legislative changes.

She has 20+ years of experience of working in finance, having worked for employers such as HMRC, Leaders, and Bookers. She holds various qualifications including a Professional Executive PA diploma from Pitman Training and a Level 3 Accounting qualification from the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). She is currently working towards a CIPD qualification.
